Plagiarism Policy

The manuscript submitted to JATSS is scanned by the plagiarism software program IThenticate, after being pre-examined by the relevant field editor and editor-in-chief.

If the similarity rate is more than 20%, the manuscript is returned to the author(s) together with the IThenticate report.

The editor-in-chief or the relevant field editor may subject the manuscript to plagiarism control again during the evaluation process, if deemed necessary.

The final version of the article before the publication, which has successfully completed the peer-review process, is scanned once again using the IThenticate software. If the similarity rate is below 20%, the article is published.
